DUBUQUE, Iowa - The University of Dubuque men's wrestling will host the UD Sokol Wrestling Showcase Duals on Saturday, Dec. 20 beginning at 10:00 a.m.  The Spartans will host: St. John's University (Minn.), Simpson College (Iowa), and Schreiner University (Texas) before breaking for the Christmas holiday.

The Spartans will return to the mat in the new year at the 2026 NWCA/USMC Multi-Division National Dual Meet Championships, set for January 9–10, 2026, inside the UNI-Dome on the campus of the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, Iowa. The 2026 Championships will showcase top collegiate wrestling programs from across the country in the following divisions: Men's Divisions: NAIA, NCAA Division I (Mid-Major), NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III; Women's Divisions: NAIA, NCAA Combined (I/II/III).

The American Rivers Conference will be hosting the 2026 NCAA Division III National Wrestling Championships in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on March 13-14, 2026. The NCAA Divsiion III Region Vi will take place on Feb. 27-28, 2026 in Dubuque, Iowa at the Five Flags Center. The Region VI will play host to 17 teams. Teams included are: Blackburn College (Mo.), Buena Vista University (Iowa), Central College (Iowa), Coe College (Iowa), Cornell College (Iowa), Eureka College (Iowa), Huntingdon College (Ala.), Illinois Wesyleyan University (Ill.), Loras College (Iowa), Luther College (Iowa), Lyon College (Ark.), McMurry University (Texas), Nebraska Wesleyan University (Neb.), Schreiner University (Texas), Simpson College (Iowa), University of Dubuque (Iowa), University of the Ozarks (Ark.), Wartburg College (Iowa), and Westminster College (Mo.). Tentative Schedule for UD Sokol Wrestling Showcase Duals:

• 8:00 a.m.– Weigh-ins
• 10:00 a.m. – Competition begins (two mats)

Round 1
    Mat 1: UD vs. St. John's University (Minn.) 
    Mat 2: Schreiner University (Texas) vs. Simpson College (Iowa)

Round 2 – 11:30 a.m.
    Mat 1: UD vs. Schreiner University
    Mat 2: St. John's University vs. Simpson College

Round 3 (as soon as mats are free after round two)
    Mat 1: Simpson vs. NCWA Spartans Club Team/extra matches)
    Mat 2: Schreiner University vs. St. John's University

Wrestling Room / Warm-Up Access
The wrestling room will be open on Saturday morning at 6:30 a.m.  Weigh-ins are at 8:00 a.m. and Duals on 2 mats begin at 10:00 a.m.

JV and Extra Matches
We will be running JV and extra matches, and we want to get student-athletes as many matches as possible.
