DUBUQUE, Iowa - The University of Dubuque men's soccer team traveled across town Wednesday night for the Key City rivalry with Loras College. Despite a strong effort, the Spartans fell to the Duhawks 2-0.

Less than a minute later, Ryder Syverson put a shot on target to give the Duhawk keeper even more trouble. Jonatan Banuelos had a strong shot to the bottom left of the goal saved at the 20-minute mark. Near the end of the half, Eddie Papis also had a shot attempt saved. At the halftime whistle, the Spartans and Duhawks were locked in a stalemate.

Nic Hubbard was called into action quickly in the second half, stepping up to make a flurry of saves early on. Loras broke the deadlock at 54:58 to go up, 1-0. Draek Littler almost found the breakthrough for the Spartans at 65:21 with his shot down the center saved. Shortly after Loras made it 2-0.
