DUBUQUE, Iowa - The University of Dubuque men's wrestling team trailed early to the UW-Platteville Pioneers and would swap the lead four times in Thursday's match in Stoltz Sports Center. The Spartans would rally and capture the dual meet 27-18 and improve to 7-3 overall in dual meets.

UD would collect extra points at 141 lbs. when UD's Devin Murphy won by a fall in :38 seconds and slice the Pioneers early lead to 7-6. UD took their first lead after the 149 lbs. match with Brett Back collecting a major decision 9-1 and putting the Spartans out front 10-7. UWP won the next two matches before #18-ranked Zane Pannell won in a quick fall in 1:18 to put UD back into the lead 16-13. A forfeit pushed UD further into the lead 22-13 before the Pioneers claimed the 197 lbs. match by a tech fall to slice the lead to 22-18. The final match of the night #14 Justin Matson showcased his takedown and nearfall skills and ended the match in a tech fall in 2:10 to extend UD's final score to 27-18.
