STORM LAKE, Iowa - The University of Dubuque women's basketball team picked up a conference road win on Saturday as they took down the Buena Vista University Beavers 66-64 behind four Spartans in double-figures.
A balanced Spartans offense from four of the five starters on Saturday were led by
Brynn Haas who finished with 14 points and was one rebound shy of a double-double with nine boards.
Isabella Tierney had a season-high 13 points, while
Morgan Hawkins added 12 and
Samantha McDonald scored 10.
The Spartans dominated the points in the paint battle, outscoring the Beavers 44-28. The Spartans finished the game shooting 28-62 (45.2%) and made a trio of three-pointers as
Avery Green knocked down two of the Spartans perimeter shots.
The Spartans have now beaten the Beavers six straight games and seven of the last eight.
The Spartans move to 5-9 overall, 2-3 in conference play this season.
