LINCOLN, Neb. - The University of Dubuque softball team made their longest trip of the season this weekend as they traveled to face the Nebraska Wesleyan University Prairie Wolves. The Spartans dropped both games in shortened games 4-13 in five innings, and 2-10 in six innings.
The Spartans fell behind early in game one, but were able to get four runs on the board in the third inning off three hits and none bigger than the third hit by
Chloe Hild hitting a two-run home run.
Katie Hayes went a perfect 2-2 at the plate with an RBI.
Bella Allison added the fourth RBI for the Spartans in the third inning.
The Spartans took the early lead in game two as
Bailey Ford hit a double to center field scoring two runs.
Katie Hayes went 2-2 again in game two finishing the day at the plate a perfect 4-4.
The Spartans move to 6-23 overall on the season.
