DUBUQUE, Iowa - In the first ever matchup with Centenary College (LA), the University of Dubuque men's lacrosse team cruised to a 17-7 victory for their third straight win. A total of 13 Spartans recorded a point this afternoon with
Giovanni Silva leading the way.
Silva finished the game with six points including a game-high five goals and an assist. Five other Spartans scored multiple points with
Sam Todd netting three goals and a pair of assists while
Aidan Culligan assisted on three goals and scored a goal.
It was a game of firsts for the Spartans as
Joe Cressy had his first career point tonight assisting on a goal.
Kagan Hail notched his first multi point game today with a pair of goals and an assist.
Nolan Dimitri and
Issac Thompson both scored their first career goals tonight as well.
How It Happened
- The Spartans scored the first five goals of the game.
- Centenary notched their first goal late in the first quarter.
- The second quarter featured seven goals by the Spartans extending their lead to 12-2 at the half.
- In the third quarter the Spartans scored four of the five goals in the quarter
- Centenary scored a few goals in the third, but the Spartans were able to play everyone available for the game in the quarter.
The Spartans are now 5-3 overall on the season.
