ROCK ISLAND, Ill. - The University of Dubuque women's basketball team fell 71-55 to the Augustana College (IL) Vikings on the road Tuesday night in their final game before Christmas.
Despite 20 points on 8-12 shooting from
Brynn Haas in 20 minutes on the floor, the Spartans couldn't find much offensive momentum throughout the game. The Spartans also turned the ball over 22 times and the Vikings were able to turn those turnovers into 29 points which was 12 more than the Spartans had off 23 Vikings turnovers.
The Spartans had their best shooting quarter of the night in the second, going 9-16 (56.25%) from the field and made their only three pointer of the game in the quarter. There was only one lead change in the game after the Spartans scored first in the game, but it was all Augie in the final 39:25.
The Spartans fall to 2-7 on the season.
