INDIANOLA, Iowa - The University of Dubuque men's wrestling team opened the American Rivers Conference schedule on Thursday night with a dominating road victory 41-6 over the Simpson College Storm. The match began with the 174 lbs. weight class and UD grabbed the early lead 6-0 after the Spartans opened with a fall in 4:29 by the Spartans

Pannell opened the first period of the 174 lbs. match with a takedown and a nearfall to lead 7-0. He increased his lead with an escape and a takedown in the second before collecting a fall in 4:29.
Alecxander Robeson (184 lbs.) earned a forfeit as UD led 12-0.
Isaac Rosas (197 lbs.) was caught in a takedown before losing by a fall in :42, UD led 12-6. The Spartans would capture the next seven matches.
Justin Matson (285 lbs.) scored quick and often en route to a technical fall in 3:08 after leading 16-1.
Tyler Klein (125 lbs.) added six more team points after receiving a forfeit, UD- 23-6.
Tanner Higa (133 lbs.) battled through two scoreless periods before a reversal scored two points and allowed an escape to lead 2-1. He earned a riding time point to win 3-1 and push the Spartans lead to 26-6.
Jahaun Hicks-Reed (141 lbs.) won a tightly contested match 11-7 after rallying from an early deficit.
Jesus Sanchez (149 lbs.) won by a major decision 8-0, UD 33-6.
Brett Back (157 lbs.) scored two opening period takedowns en route to a 13-8 decision, UD 36-6.
Kale Roth (165 lbs.) capped the night with a technical fall at 3:40 when he reached a 16-1 score, UD 41-6.
The Spartans will wrestle on Saturday, Nov. 9 at the Luther College Luther Open.

Parking:Â Fans can park in the Regents Center lot. Do not park in the grass or along the side of the road. Fans can enter to the event through the South entrance of the Regents Center.Â
Wristbands:Â Wristbands will be given to each spectator so that they may come and go throughout the day
Gates Open: 7:30 a.m. - Due to construction on the North Entrance tickets will only be sold at the South entrance of the Regents Center located on the lower campus of Luther College - Wrestling Begins at 9:00 a.m.
