WAUWATOSA, Wis. - The University of Dubuque women's basketball team couldn't get anything going in the second and fourth quarters on Saturday against Ripon College and would fall 81-45 in the final game of the Paul F. Knueppel Classic at Wisconsin Lutheran College.

The Spartans were down just two points at 19-17 through 10 minutes, but a 2-11 from the field in the second quarter by the Spartans, allowed Ripon to extend their lead to 12 at the half. The Spartans were unable to cut the lead at any point in the second half and would fall to Ripon. 

Morgan Hawkins led the way with 12 points and seven rebounds in 24 minutes. Samnatha McDonald was the other Spartan in double figures with 11 points and six rebounds. The Spartans yet again were able to win the points in the paint battle 36-32, but struggled from the perimeter going 1-5 whereas Ripon made seven threes in the game. 

Sam McDonald was named to the Paul F. Knueppel Classic All-Tournament Team. 

The Spartans fall to 1-2 overall on the season.
