DUBUQUE, Iowa - The University of Dubuque men's soccer team was back at home for homecoming as they faced their second conference opponent of the season. The Central College Dutch made the trip to Oyen Field, with the Dutch winning by a final score of 2-1 over the Spartans.
The Dutch would be the first to get on the scoreboard with a goal in the 21st minute. The Spartans would answer off a corner kick in the 27th minute as

Mario Meier for the equalizer. All three goals of the game would be scored in the opening 45 minutes as the Dutch added another goal late in the first half, which would be the game-winning goal.
The Spartans finished the game with 14 shots as half of them were shots on goal. The Spartans defense held the Dutch to only three shot on goal attempts throughout the game. Corner kicks heavily favored the Spartans with 15 compared to only two for the Dutch.
The Spartans fall to 4-6-1 overall and 1-1 in A-R-C play.
