LINCOLN, Neb. - The University of Dubuque men's soccer team suffered a 3-0 loss on Saturday night at Nebraska Wesleyan University.
Gavin Wooldridge got the Spartans first look at a goal just seven minutes into the game, but even though the shots on goal were deadlocked at 10 each through 90 minutes, the Spartans were unable to find the back of the net. The Prairie Wolves capitalized on three different shots, with two coming in the second half of play. Corner kick opportunities were even at seven attempts each.
Six Spartans recorded at least one shot on goal with four of them recording two shots on goal.
Mario Meier had the most shots for the Spartans with five.
Matt Marchiori played all 90 minutes in goal, recording seven saves.
The Spartans fall to 4-9-2 on the season and 1-3-1 in conference play.
