Men's Soccer Falls 2-0 to UW-Platteville in Final Non-Conference Match

DUBUQUE, Iowa - The University of Dubuque men's soccer team lost a 2-0 battle with the UW-Platteville Pioneers in their final non-conference match of the season on Tuesday night at Oyen Field.

The only two goals of the game were scored in the opening half as the Pioneers found the back of the net in the 18th and 34th minutes of play. In what was a wild game, the Spartans played a total of 25 players, the most the Spartans have played in a game this season. Multiple Spartans saw their first action of the season as well.

Both teams received red cards in the game with the Pioneers being carded just before the half and the Spartans goal keeper got a red card in the 66th minute of the match. Nic Hubbard recorded three saves in the loss while Christoffer Rastock made five saves in only less than 25 minutes out on the field.

The Spartans move to 4-8-2 on the season and will have four conference games left on the regular season.
