Women's Tennis Open A-R-C Individual Tournament on Friday

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – The 2024 American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) Women's Tennis Individual Flighted Singles (A, B, C, D) and Doubles (A, B, C) Tournament will take place Friday, October 11 and Saturday, October 12 in Pella, Iowa. Play will begin at 10:00a both days. Players will take the courts at Pella Christian High School and Pella High School. 
 
Day one play will begin with double matches, to be played through the quarterfinals, followed by singles matches. Day two play will begin with doubles matches, to be played through the championship, followed by singles matches.

The Field:
The 2024 edition of the Individual Tournament will feature 90 student-athletes in singles and 44 doubles pairs.

Weather Conditions:
The weather could not get much better for mid-October than the student-athletes will have for the individual tournament this upcoming weekend. Friday has a high of 86 and will be mostly sunny while Saturday will have a high of 76 and partly cloudy. Both days have a little wind rolling in, but nothing unusual for fall tennis in Iowa. 
Preparation: 
This tournament proves that student-athletes are both physically and mentally prepared for a grueling weekend of tennis. The intensity of the individual tournament can be draining, and mental resilience is often key to advancing through the rounds.
