Box Score JACKSONVILLE, Ill. - The University of Dubuque women's tennis team lost to host Illinois College on Saturday by a 3-6 margin.

A scheduled double dual meet with Westminster College and Illinois College would be just one match after Westminster canceled. The Spartans would capture the #3 doubles with Hayden Warner/Breann Kieliszewski in a battle, winning 8-7 (7-4 in tie break). Adriana Benavente/Amelia Court lost #2 doubles 4-8. UD did not have enough players and would forfeit the #3 doubles.

Warner captured the #1 singles handedly with a 6-1, 6-0 sweep. Benavente won #2 singles 6-3, 6-0. Kieliszewski narrowly lost the #3 singles after losing the first set 1-6, fought through a second set 7-5 and lost the tie break 7-10. Court lost #4 singles 0-6, 3-6 and Qi Zhang lost #5 singles 0-6, 0-6. UD would forfeit #6 singles.

UD (1-3 overall, 0-1 in A-R-C) will host the Coe College Kohawks on Wednesday, Sept. 13 at Frank Farber Tennis Courts at 4:00 p.m.
