MILWAUKEE, Wis. - The University of Dubuque men's hockey team battled back from a 0-3 score to score the lone goal in the final period of play at 14:07 in the third when
Patrick Donnelly scored off assists by
Thomas Gazich and
Langley Kruggel. The Spartans are still searching for their first win of the season and will be looking to win when they return home on Dec. 1 and Dec. 2 to host Aurora University Spartans at ImOn Ice Arena in Dubuque.
The Spartans had seven power-plays and were unable to score in their seven chances. UD grabbed 25 shots in the loss and were led by
Max Erstad with four and
Josh King who had three shots. The Spartans won 21 faceoffs and were led by
Patrick Toomey who won nine. Teammate
Tye Evans won five and
James Eng won four.
Dakota Meyer too the loss in goal and played 59:41 and stopped 20 shots (five in the first, nine in the second, and six in the third.
