Scott Lennon fired the crew up and the Spartans found the back of the net three times in the second half en route to a 3-1 win over the visiting Grinnell College Pioneers.
Gavin Wooldridge scored the first goal at 58:03 off a
Max Forsberg assist. A short time later at 71:00, UD would increase their lead to 2-0 after

Draek Littler for the game winning goal. Grinnell responded with a header off a corner kick at 73:29 to slice the lead to just a goal before
Josh Krenger punched in the goal at 81:30 to extend the game 3-1 before time ran out.
The Spartans finished with 15 shots, with Littler who came off the bench to lead the team with three. An active night which saw 21 Spartans play in front of their home crowd, and 11 finished with a shot.
The busy start to the season continues on Sunday, Sept. 11 when UD will host Milwaukee School of Engineering at 2 p.m. on Oyen Field in Dubuque.
