Men's Soccer Start A-R-C Play With Draw

DECORAH, Iowa - In their first conference game of the season, Gavin Wooldridge would spark an early lead for the University of Dubuque men's soccer team before the Luther College Norse answered right before halftime to even the game. The second half would remain scoreless as the Spartans start American Rivers Conference action with a 1-1 no decision on the road.

The first shot of the game by Wooldridge would be lone score of the night for the Spartans as they were held to two total shots in the opening half. The Norse would use the last minute of the first half to answer the Spartans to even the game at the half 1-1.

The Norse defense would be in full affect tonight as they would not allow a single shot by the Spartans in the second half. The Norse held the ball on their offensive end most of the night with 17 shots compared to two for the Spartans. The Norse were given 14 corner kicks and the Spartans never attempted any.
