DUBUQUE, Iowa - The University of Dubuque Spartans women's tennis team opened American Rivers Conference action on Friday afternoon on Frank Farber Courts. An early September humid afternoon in the upper 80's provided the two teams a nearly ideal backdrop. UD would lose to the Knights 0-9 in the league opener.

The Spartans (0-3 overall, 0-1 in A-R-C) will face UW-Stout and Monmouth College in a triangular on Saturday in Monmouth, Ill. with matches beginning at noon.
