MONMOUTH, Ill. - The University of Dubuque women's tennis team continued a busy week with two meets scheduled for Saturday. In the opener, the Spartans faced UW-Stout and lost 1-8. During the second contest of the afternoon, Mother Nature would win after the doubles matches. UD trailed 0-3 before rain suspended play and the match would be called.

The Spartans lone win of the day was Hayden Warner who captured the #1 singles vs. UW-Stout by a match score 6-3, 6-3. Warner and Abby Drost played to a tie break set at #1 doubles against the host Monmouth College Fighting Scots. The Spartans duo lost the tie break 5-7 in a hotly contest match before the singles matches were halted by rain.

The Spartans host Coe College at 9 a.m. at Frank Farber Tennis Courts on Sept. 10.
