Davenport, Iowa - The University of Dubuque opened their 2022-23 season with a loss on Friday afternoon by a 0-9 score.

The Spartans lost all three doubles, but the #3 doubles team of Ryan Kiddle/Josh Husemann would battle to a narrow 5-7 loss. In #6 singles play, Husemann battled through a tight tie break third set, but lost 1-6, 6-1, 10-12.

The Spartans return to the Frank Farber Tennis Courts on Sunday, Sept. 18 when they host the Hamline University Pipers at 11 a.m. UD men's team is preparing for the American Rivers Conference Men's Individual Tournament on Sept. 23-24 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa beginning at 10 a.m.
