DUBUQUE, Iowa - The University of Dubuque men's tennis team was defeated by the Hamline Pipers on Sunday at Frank Farber Tennis Courts 3-6.
Bjarne Bachmann would take home the #1 singles game after defeating Hamline's #1 singles player 6-1, 6-0.
Pedwar Castillo would be defeated in #2 singles,
Rashaun Duck would lose a tight battle in #3 singles,
Ryan Kiddle would be edged out in #4 singles, and
Blake Bembnister would also lose a close battle in #5 singles.
Josh Husemann would win the second singles match for the Spartans in #6 singles by winning 7-5, 6-2.
Bachmann would continue his strong day as he teamed up with Duck in the #1 doubles match as they would win 8-4. The Spartans would lose the #2 doubles and #3 doubles matches to close out the match with the Pipers.

The Spartans will now participate in the American Rivers Conference Individual Tournament in Cedar Rapids, Iowa next Friday September 23 and Saturday, September 24 with both days starting at 10:00 a.m.
