LINCOLN, Neb. - The University of Dubuque battled back from Friday's loss in the American Rivers Conference to dominate the Nebraska Wesleyan University Prairiewolves 43-3. UD would finish Saturday afternoon with five falls in the match.
Cade Hornback started it off with a fall at 125 lbs. in 4:09 to give the Spartans an early 6-0 team lead.
Anthony Urrea added a fall at 141 lbs. at the end of the opening period (3:00). Top-ranked
Zarik Anderson pinned his opponent in 3:50 at 157 lbs. The Spartans would finish the match with falls by
Tyler Thurston at 197 lbs. in 2:45 and at 285 lbs.
Robert Melise ended his match in a quick 1:44.
The Spartans host Simpson College Storm on Wednesday, Feb. 16 at 7:00 p.m. on Senior Night in Stoltz Sports Center. The NCAA Division III Lower Midwest Regional begins on Feb. 25-26 at Five Flags Center in Dubuque.
