CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The University of Dubuque wrestling team battled another top-ranked team in the American Rivers Conference on Friday night and would fall short against the #2-ranked Coe College Kohawks by a final score of 3-40.

UD's Zarik Anderson would earn the victory in a 6-1 decision at 157 lbs. over AJ Patterson for the Spartans lone win. Anderson is ranked #6 in the Lower Midwest Region and is ranked #13 and a contender in the D3wrestle.com rankings from Feb. 4, 2022. UD lost two matches by a lone point at 133 lbs. with Carson Sauriol and at 149 lbs. with Jessy Diaz. Teammate Cade Hornback lost a tight battle at 125 lbs. by a 1-5 margin.
