DUBUQUE, Iowa - The University of Dubuque women's basketball remained perfect on Friday night after a dominating 97-55 home victory in Stoltz Sports Center. UD jumped out to an early halftime edge of 49-19 and never looked back in the win.
UD played seventeen student-athletes and finished with all seventeen making it into the scoring column.
Isabella Tierney led UD with 15 points 0 7-10 shooting from the field.
Lauren Livingston followed closely behind with 12 points and four assists.
Morgan Hawkins scored 10 points and grabbed five rebounds in just 14 minutes of action.
Kathleen Mathias finished Friday night with nine points, five rebounds, and five steals.
Madi Petersen came off the bench to score nine points on 3-5 shooting from the field, including 1-2 from beyond the arc.
The Spartans sank 39-62 attempts from the field (62.9%), 5-14 from beyond the three point arc (35.7%), and 14-19 from thr free throw line (73.7%). UD held the rebounding edge 40-32 and held the lead for 35:49 of the contest. The Spartans scored 68 points in the paint and 41 points from the 32 Eureka turnovers.
UD (2-0 overall) will travel to St. Louis, Mo. on Sunday to face Washington University with tip-off scheduled for 1:00 p.m. The Spartans are averaging 91.5 ppg., and have been out scoring their competition by an average of 35.5 points a game.
