Women's Soccer Suffer A-R-C Tournament Loss 1-3

DUBUQUE, Iowa - The University of Dubuque women's soccer trailed 2-0 before UD's Baylee Vincent scored the Spartans first goal at 69:41 to slice into the Luther College Norse lead on Saturday on Oyen Field. The Norse would add a third goal just three minutes later and would end the afternoon with the American Rivers Conference Tournament victory 3-1 over the Spartans.

UD finished with 11 shots and Luther had 15 in the win. Elisa Langer played 19:39 in goal and stopped two shots and left after a collision with a Norse forward in the opening half. Karissa Chalus came in for relief and would also stop a pair of shots on goal. The Norse split time in the net as well, and they combined for three saves. The two teams were nearly even in fouls with Luther committing 10 and UD 11. UD's defenders were busy and held the Norse to just four corner kicks.

Baylee Vincent would score her goal off a header after one of the seven Spartans corner kicks. UD's offense, hampered by physical play, would be held to just four shots on goal in the loss.

UD will end their season with a 6-4-7 overall mark. The Norse will advance to face #1 seed Loras College Duhawks in the A-R-C semifinals on Wednesday, Nov. 2. The A-R-C will announce the All-Conference selections the first week on November.
