DUBUQUE, Iowa - The University of Dubuque men's soccer team finished the regular season on Tuesday night by beating the Buena Vista University Beavers 6-0 under the lights of Oyen Field. The win moved the Spartans to an American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) record of 3-2-3. Many scenarios were set to sort out the final six qualifiers for the 2022 A-R-C Men's Soccer Tournament which begins on Saturday, Oct. 29.

The Spartans ended the evening by out shooting BVU 22-1, UD had 13 shots in the opening 45 minutes of action and nine in the final 45 minutes of play. UD led in corner kicks 7-2 and were called for nine offsides in the game. UD's defense kept the Beavers at bay all evening and their one shot was a shot on goal for a keeper save by David Sereno who played just 19:10.

The Spartans played 32 student-athletes and 13 finished with a shot as they prepare for the upcoming A-R-C Tournament. #6-seed UD will travel to face the #3-seed Simpson College Storm in Indianola, Iowa with match beginning at 7:30 p.m.
