Bass Fishing Wraps Up Successful Season at Lake of the Ozarks

OSAGE BEACH, Mo. - The University of Dubuque's Bass Fishing Team traveled to Missouri to compete in the Abu Garcia College Fishing Tournament this past weekend. The Spartans sent out two teams on the lake that featured competition from colleges across the country. A total of 181 teams fished in the Abu Garcia College Fishing Tournament. Rules were as followed, a limit of five bass per team and a size limit of 15 inches or more were kept. 

Rob Ludescher and Cody Prichard finished 44th hauling in four bass with a total weight of eight pounds. Kris Kautz and Nathan Krause placed 63rd reeling in three bass weighing in at six pounds and 8 ounces. 

As the season comes to a halt, The University of Dubuque placed 19th out of 52 teams in the Major League Fishing Central Conference, racking up a total of 1,132 points. The Spartans look to continue their success as they await for the upcoming 2022-2023 season.
