MOUNT VERNON , Iowa - The University of Dubuque women's tennis finally returned to the court with a full line-up on Friday afternoon, but it was the host Cornell College Rams (3-6 overall) who claimed five of the six contested matches in avenging a 4-5 early-season loss to the Spartans on Aug. 28.

UD's Lauren Colon would fight through two tie breaks to collect a hard fought victory at #2 singles 7-6 (8-6), 7-5.

The Spartans (2-8 overall) return home on Oct. 2 to host the Central College Dutch at 9 a.m. and the Simpson College Storm at 1 p.m. on Frank Farber Tennis Courts.
