MILLIKIN, Ill. - The University of Dubuque women's tennis team opened their season on the road at Milllikin University on Aug,. 28. The Spartans lost the season opener by a 0-9 score, and won a hard fought battle to Cornell College 5-4 to finish third at the Millikin Invite. In the first match of the 2021-22 season, UD lost #1 doubles 0-8, grabbed a set at #2 doubles 1-8, and lost #3 doubles 0-8. In singles action, #1 singles

In the second match of the day, UD jumped out to an early 2-1 lead after winning the #2 doubles with team of Alyssa

Liliana Leguizamo won by a forefeit to edge out a slim 5-4 team victory over the Rams.
The Spartans travel on Wednesday, Sept. 1 to begin American Rivers Conference play at the Wartburg College Knights at 4 p.m. UD will host UW-Stout and Monmouth College on Sept. 4 at Frank Farber Tennis Courts beginning at 9 a.m.
