DUBUQUE, Iowa – It was senior day today at Oyen Field and the Spartans men's soccer team was looking to send the veterans out with a conference win. The Spartans would play the first half with not a lot of opportunities to get a goal. At halftime, whatever coach Brad Johnson said, it paid off for the Spartans as they would tally three goals in the second half and take the 3-0 victory to continue their winning streak to five games and stay undefeated in A-R-C play.

With not much action in the first half, the Spartans were able to get the scoring started in the 65^th minute as senior Gloire Luwara would put the ball in the back of the net, assisted by Eloi Niyibizi to give the Spartans the 1-0 lead. Gloire Luwara was looking to make senior day special for him as he would find the back of the net again a mere 38 seconds later to take a commanding lead 2-0. Another senior was looking to add to the scoring as Roody Joinvil would tally a goal to give the Spartans a 3-0 lead that would hold to give them the victory.

The Spartans finished the afternoon with 23 shots on goal and 17 of those being in the 2^nd half. The Spartans would also add eight corner kicks. Matt Marchiori would get the win in goal tonight but had a quiet night with one save.

The Spartans take their undefeated conference record back to Oyen Field on Tuesday, October 12 at 7:30 p.m. as they take on the Simpson College Storm.
