DUBUQUE, Iowa - The University of Dubuque women's tennis was pushed indoors as a light mist continued to fall all afternoon in the Dubuque area. The Spartans lost to the visiting Buena Vista University Beavers in Chlapaty Recreation and Wellness Center by a 3-6 final.
Head coach
Dishon Deering would again be pushed to alter his line-up this season with an injury and another starter in a student organization competition. The Spartans would capture vicories at #2 doubles team of
Jordyn Cory and
Reese Gottman 8-7 (7-5).
Lauren Colon would capture the #3 singles with a 6-7, 6-3, 10-2 hard fought victory. UD's
Reese Gottman would win #4 singles with a 6-4, 6-4 score.
The Spartans will continue action on Saturday when they host the Nebraska Wesleyan University Prairiewolves at 1 p.m.
