DUBUQUE, Iowa - The University of Dubuque lost to the Loras College Duhawks 2-7 on Tuesday afternoon, but UD world force three tie breaks in singles play.
Alyssa Stevenson at #1 singles lost the first set 2-6, fought back to win set two 7-6, but lost the tie-break 5-10.
Patient Jabbah playing #4 singles lost 0-6 in the first, won second 6-3 and lost the tie-break 8-10. At #5 singles, Resse Gottman lost the opening set 4-6 before capturing set two 6-3. She dominated the tie-break 10-3 to claim the match.
Regina Kadima played #6 singles and won 6-4, 6-0.
UD lost all three doubles matches. The #1 doubles team of
Alyssa Stevenson and
Patient Jabbah lost 0-8. The #2 doubles team of
Reese Gottman and
Jordyn Cory lost 0-8. The #3 doubles team of
Lauren Colon and
Regina Kadima lost 3-8.
UD will travel to Sioux City, Iowa on Oct. 15-16 for the American Rivers Conference Individual Women's Tournament.
