Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 PELLA/INDIANOLA, Iowa - The University of Dubuque women's tennis team hit the road for the first time in 2020 on Saturday for a pair of conference matches, where they fell to both Central and Simpson 9-0.

UD began the day in Pella to take on the Central Dutch. One of the best match of the entire day came early on at number one singles, between UD's Alyssa Stevenson and Central's Karleigh Schilling. In a tight battle the entire match, it was Central's Schilling just edging out the freshman Stevenson 7-5 in the opening set and 6-3 in the second set. 

The only singles match to go to a third set on Saturday came in Indianola between Patient Jabbah and Simpson's Kennedi Wright. After Jabbah dropped the first set 6-4, she returned the favor in the second set with a 6-4 set win of her own to force a deciding third set. However, it was Wright who was able to reach 10 first and take home the victory over Jabbah.

The Spartans are back at home on Wednesday, hosting Cornell College at 4:30 p.m. at the Frank Farber Tennis Courts.
