Liz Oswald

Liz Oswald joined the University of Dubuque women's basketball staff in July of 2025.

Prior to her time at the University of Dubuque she was an assistant women's basketball coach at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay where they went 29-6, earned an NCAA tournament appearance, and captured both the Horizon League Regular Season and Tournament championships. Oswald assisted in mentoring two first All Horizon League team and two All Horizon League Defensive team members. Prior to her time at UWGB Oswald was at the University of South Dakota serving as a Director of Basketball Operations. She helped USD improve in the win column by nine games and increase in defensive efficiency. The Coyotes ended up ranking second in the Summit League in defensive scoring (64.6PPG). The Coyotes made it to the sweet sixteen in the WNIT tournament that year ending with a 23-13 record. Prior to her time at USD Oswald was a Graduate assistant at Eastern Illinois. Her duties with the Panthers included assisting in individual skill development workouts, planning team travel, organizing on campus recruiting visits, assisting with team apparel, coordinating film exchange, and breaking down film. She also assisted in EIU's annual CARE game that raised more than $16,000 for the immediate needs of local cancer patients. The Panthers were 37-22 during Oswald's time at EIU. 

A native of Watertown, Wisconsin, Oswald was the point guard for four seasons at the University of Wisconsin-Stout in Menomonie. She was a two-time team captain, the UW-Stout SAAC president as a senior, and a participant in WBCA's "So You want to BE a Coach" program. Oswald graduated in 20212 with a bachelor's degree in applied interdisciplinary Science. She completed her master's degree in sports administration from Eastern Illinois in May of 2023.Â
