Vince Klopfenstein joined UD in the fall of 2023 as the Head Athletic Trainer. His primary sports coverage includes football, wrestling, and baseball.
Prior to joining the staff at UD, Vince served as athletic trainer for Linn-Mar high school, athletic trainer for the Cedar Rapids Titans of the Indoor Football League, head athletic trainer for Iowa Wesleyan College, and athletic trainer at Des Moines East high school. He has a Bachelor of Arts in biology and athletic training from Simpson College and an MS in Exercise Science and Health Promotion from California University of Pennsylvania.
Vince is NATA BOC certified, licensed by the Iowa Board of Athletic Training, and First Aid/CPR/AED certified.
A native of Winfield, Iowa, he currently lives in Dubuque with his wife and two children. In his free time, Vince enjoys spending time with his family, hunting, camping, and barbecue.
