Jeremy Clausen

Clausen joined the Sports Medicine staff at the University of Dubuque in August of 2016. His primary sport coverages include Football, Wrestling, and Men’s and Women’s Tennis. Clausen is also an Adjunct Professor for the University of Dubuque’s Health, Wellness, and Sport Program and a Clinical Preceptor for Clarke University’s Athletic Training Education Program.

Prior to joining the Spartan staff, Clausen earned his BS degree in Exercise Science from Carroll University in 2013 and MS degree in Athletic Training from the College of St. Scholastica in 2015. After graduating with his master’s degree, Clausen worked at Midland University as an Assistant Athletic Trainer and Professor from 2015-2016. During that time, Clausen was the primary athletic trainer for football, men’s and women’s wrestling, and baseball, while assisting with the other 25 varsity sports offered by the university.

Clausen is NATA BOC Certified and licensed by the Iowa Board of Athletic Training. He is a member of NATA, MAATA and IATS. Additionally, Clausen maintains various other certifications including that of a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), Graston Technique (M1), and First Aide and CPR.

In his free time, Clausen enjoys everything outdoors, including hunting, fishing, hiking, and traveling. Clausen and his wife Karlye reside in Platteville, Wisconsin along with their two dogs, Lola and Wrigley.
