University of Dubuque

Jamie Deering joined the University of Dubuque as the Assistant Softball Coach in 2019 and helped the 2019 Spartans break 16 school records.

Jamie was a four year letter winner at Clarke University where she played shortstop. Her junior year she helped the squad to a 41 win season while earning the Gold Glove award in the Heart of America Conference.  Jamie also received the University’s Dr. LeRoy Walker Character award nomination her senior year. The nomination is given to the student-athlete which best exemplifies character both on and off the field. As a student, she also spent time in the marketing department, helping with social media, and in the admissions office, helping set up visits and recruit prospective student athletes, and she graduated with a degree in communication.

The summer of 2018 she coached at Bellevue High School coaching freshman and junior varsity while assisting with varsity squad.
