Michael Lennon

Michael Lennon joins the Spartans as associate head coach in men’s hockey in 2023. He was the assistant coach and the recruiting coordinator at Northland college since 2014. His responsibilities included video analysis, working with defensemen and assisting with special teams, and oversaw off-ice strength and conditioning program. Lennon was a three-year captain for Lumber jacks and played in 104 games at Northland from 2010-2014. He tallied 40 goals with 42 assists for 82 career points. He led the team in scoring his junior year and senior season. Lennon helped the Jacks qualify for the MCHA Tournament twice and helped the program to it's first ever Harris Cup Semifinals in his junior season (2012-13).  

 

As a prep, he played 44 games for the Marquette Rangers of the North American Hockey League and played in 53 games for Canada’s Dryden Ice Hogs of the Superior International Junior Hockey League, helping them reach the playoffs in 2009-10. 

 

The Reedsburg, Wis. native, prior to coaching the Lumber Jacks he spent time coaching with Total Hockey Training in Lakeville, Minn. and various summer camps and clinics throughout the U.S.  He resides in Dubuque
