Dan Spain is entering his third year with the University of Dubuque baseball program after being announced as the 18th head coach in school history back in the summer of 2024.Â
In his first season with the Spartans, Spain qualified for the A-R-C Baseball Tournament after a 13-11 conference record that gave them a fourth place finish.Â
Prior to UD, Spain was the head baseball coach of Clarke University from 2012-2024. He established a foundation for what manifested into one of the winningest programs in the Midwest, and one of the top NAIA programs in the country. Spain is a graduate of Maquoketa High School (2005), competed collegiately at Marshalltown Community College, Iowa Wesleyan and finished his playing career as well as his degree in kinesiology at Clarke University in 2010.
