Women's Tennis Suffers First Loss of the Season on the Road

WAVERLY, Iowa - The University of Dubuque women's tennis team carried a perfect 4-0 record into Saturday's match but lost their conference opener 1-6 to the Wartburg College Knights. 

The Spartans (4-1 overall) won the #1 doubles team of Salalee Seejong/Molly Jex won 6-3. Molly Jex at #2 singles won 4-6, 6-1, and captured the tie break 7-5. The Spartans play on Sunday, Sept. 13 at Saint Ambrose University being with matches being held at North Scott High School in Eldridge, Iowa. UD will enjoy a day break on Monday before hosting the Loras College Duhawks on Tuesday, Sept. 15 at 4:00 p.m.
