DUBUQUE, Iowa - The University of Dubuque men's tennis travelled across town for a match-up at the Loras College Duhawks on Monday afternoon. The Spartans would win #1 doubles by a 6-1 margin. UD lost #2 doubles to tie for the doubles point. The Spartans #3 doubles team led 5-3 before the host Duhawks rallied to win the next four sets to capture set 7-5 and take the doubles point. UD would win #1 singles, but lost the match 6-1.
The doubles #1 team of
Gavin Murrie/
Jake Wallrichs captured the set 6-1 and Murrie would once again capture the #1 singles set this time by a margin of 6-2, 6-4. Murrie improved his overall mark to 11-5 and doubles team with Wallrichs 7-6 this season.
UD will end their regular season on the road at Simpson College on Friday, April 24 at 4:00 p.m. and at Central College on Saturday, April 25 at 10:00 a.m.
