DUBUQUE, Iowa - The University of Dubuque men's tennis team wrapped up a busy home schedule on Sunday, April 12 with a loss to the Coe College Kohawks 6-1 in the dry confines of the Chlapaty Recreation and Wellness Center.
UD lost a hard fought #1 doubles match with
Gavin Murrie and
Jake Wallrichs in a tie break 7-6 (9-7). Coe took the doubles point after sweeping all three of the doubles matches.
Jake Westberry was the lone singles winner after he captured the #4 singles by scores of 6-3, 6-4.
Alexander Hardin took the first set at #6 singles 6-3, lost the second 6-2 and lost the tie break by a 10-5 margin.
The Spartans (6-7 overall, 1-2 in A-R-C) travel to Luther College on Wednesday, April 15 at 4:00 p.m. in Decorah, Iowa. UD will host Senior Day on Saturday, April 18 when the Spartans host the Wartburg College Knights at 10:00 a.m. on the Frank Farber Tennis Courts.
