DUBUQUE, Iowa – University of Dubuque's director of athletics,
Michael Feuling, has announced the hiring of
Nate Carr Sr. as assistant women's wrestling coach, joining head coach
Fernando Villaescusa.
"Adding Nate Carr to the coaching staff, makes University of Dubuque Women's Wrestling an immediate destination for elite athletes to join a championship culture," commented head coach Villaescusa. "We are truly blessed to have completed what in my humble opinion is an elite top tier wrestling coaching staff. Nate brings extensive experience winning three NCAA titles for Iowa State University, an Olympic medal in 1988, then coaching West Virginia University to Top 6 finishes nationally. Internationally, he earned a spot on the US World Team in 1983. He claimed Olympic bronze in 1988 in Seoul, outscoring his opponents 67-7.
