STEVENS POINT, Wis. - The University of Dubuque baseball team wrapped up their non-conference schedule with a 20-8 victory on the road at UW-Stevens Point on Tuesday.
The Spartans scored a season-high 20 runs on 23 hits on Tuesday as both
JD Schaffer and
Cameron Pratt both hit homeruns in the early innings of the game. Schaffer finished with a game-high four RBI's and
Justin Hausner had a thee-hit game, scoring three RBI's.
Ashr Harris got the start on the mound, finishing with four earned runs on five hits, while striking out seven batters in five innings.
Joshua Kupetz,
Brendan McQuillan, and Schaffer pitched in relief, not allowing an earned run in the final four innings.
The Spartans are now 18-18 overall on the season.

The final conference series of the year will start on Friday, May 2 when the Spartans are on the road at Simpson College. The Spartans are on the cusp of making the A-R-C baseball tournament and with two wins in the three-game series, they will qualify for the tournament. The doubleheader will be on Friday with the first game set for 3:30 p.m.
