Batchelor and Papenthien Receive Scholar All-American Honors by NWCA

Manheim, PA – The National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) proudly announced the recipients of the 2025 NCAA Women's Scholar All-American Awards on Thursday. The University of Dubuque had two women's wrestlers earn Scholar All-American honors. 


These outstanding student-athletes have demonstrated excellence both on the mat and in the classroom, meeting one of the following academic and athletic criteria:

  • A top eight placer at nationals and at least a 3.0 Cumulative GPA
  • Competed in a minimum of 15 matches that are recorded in TRACKWRESTLING and has at least a 3.5 Cumulative GPA
  • Was a national qualifier and has at least a 3.25 Cumulative GPA

Danielle Batchelor - Fr., Clark, S.D. / Clark - Aviation Management
Mattie Papenthien - So., Black Earth, Wis. / Middleton - Business Administration (earns her second consecutive Scholar All-American honor)
