RIPON, Wis. - The University of Dubuque men's tennis grabbed a pair of road wins on Saturday after beating Ripon College by a 6-1 margin and blanking Concordia University of Chicago 7-0.

The Spartans finished a successful afternoon when they lost just one match on Saturday. In the match with Ripon, the Spartans took a pair of matches intp a tie-break and UD won both singles matches. Pedwar Castillo at #2 singles lost the first set 3-6, won the second set 6-4, and captured the match with a 10-7 score in the tie-break. Andrew Bollis won #5 singles 6-4 in the first set, lost the second 3-6, and cruised in the tie-break by a 10-3 margin.

In the dual meet against Concordia University of Chicago, the Spartans would win #4, #5, and #6 singles vis a tie-break. Ryan Kiddle at #4 singles swet the first set 6-1, lost the second 6-1, but battled to a dominating tie-break victory 10-2. Andrew Bollis at #5 singles won the first set 7-6 (4), lost the second set 6-1, and captured the match with a decisive 10-4 tie-break. Elia Desario at #6 singles lost the opening set 6-4, rallied for the second set 6-2, and won 10-5 in the tie break.

The Spartans will prepare for a spring break trip to Hilton Head S.C. at the 2025 PTR Spring Tennis Fest. UD will play Bridgewater College on March 3, Johnson & Wales University on March 4, Capital University on March 5 along with Lancaster Bible College. The Spartans return home to host Lawrence University on Saturday, March 15 at 1:00 p.m. on Frank Farber Tennis Courts.
