DUBUQUE, Iowa - The University of Dubuque women's basketball team fell to the (RV) UW-La Crosse Eagles on Saturday afternoon 64-42 inside the Stoltz Sports Center.

The Spartans fell behind 18-9 after the first quarter and then the Eagles were able to push their lead to 15 points in the second quarter, before the Spartans cut the deficit to 10 at the half, 30-20. 

In the early stages of the second half, the Spartans went on a 7-2 run over the course of the first five minutes of the third to cut the deficit to 32-27. During this run, the Spartans' defense held the Eagles to zero made field goals. The Eagles would go back up by double digits to end the third quarter. 

In the fourth quarter, Felicity Figlinski hit her first three-pointer of the game to cut the Eagles' lead back to 46-39 with 6:58 remaining. Figlinski would hit her second three-pointer of the quarter with 5:12 remaining, trailing by 10. The Spartans would be held scoreless the rest of the way. 

Simonetti led the way for the Spartans with 13 points on 5-9 shooting and added six rebounds. Figlinski and Taylor Martin each added eight points. 

The Spartans fall to 3-5 overall.
