Women's Tennis Conclude A-R-C Season, Prepare for A-R-C Individual Tournament

DUBUQUE, Iowa - The University of Dubuque women's tennis team concluded their regular season in the American Rivers Conference on Tuesday afternoon with a 6-1 loss to the Coe College Kohawks. 

The Spartans lone victory happened at #1 singles when Molly Jex beat this week's A-R-C Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week in straight sets 6-1, 6-2. She finished the fall with six consecutive A-R-C #1 singles victories in a row for the Spartans.

The Spartans will prepare for the A-R-C Women's Tennis Individual Tournament being hosted at the Clark Racquet Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on Oct. 10-11 beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Brackets --> All student-athletes are guaranteed one match, with the option of participating in a consolation event on Day 2. 
  • Players are only permitted to play in the consolation event if they have been eliminated in both singles and doubles on Day 1. 
  • Day 1 --> Play shall begin with doubles matches, to be played through quarterfinals, followed by singles matches.
  • Day 2 --> Play shall begin with doubles matches, to be played through the championship, followed by singles matches. 
  • Friday, October 10 at 9:15a.m. at Coe College Tennis Courts
  • Start Times - 10:00 a.m. both days.

    • All doubles matches will be one standard tiebreak set to 6, 7-point tiebreak at 6 games all.
    • All singles matches will be best of short sets to 4, with a 10-point match tiebreak at one set all.
