Box Score ST. PETER, Minn. – The University of Dubuque men's soccer team took to the road for the first time this season as they traveled north to take on Gustavus Adolphus College, falling to the Gusties by a score of 2-0.
The Spartans struggled to get into gear in the first half on offense as they played defense for most of the half. Senior goalkeeper
Matt Marchiori had four first half saves. The Spartans had chances to score in the first half earning two corners kick as team in the first half. In the second half senior forward
Gavin Wooldridge had on shot on goal for a scoring chance while freshman
Baraka Madumba also had a shot for the Spartans. Marchiori had three saves in the second half to finish the game with seven total saves. The Spartans added one more corner kick as a team in the second to finish with three total as a team. The loss now puts the Spartans at 2-1-0 on the season.
