RIPON, Wis. - The University of Dubuque men's tennis lost Wednesday afternoon at Ripon College 1-8.

In doubles play, the Spartans battled and lost two tiebreaks. The #1 duo of Rashuan Duck/Pedwar Castillo lost 7-8 after losing the tie break 1-7. The #3 doubles team of Dawson Freese/Ryan Linkie lost 7-8 after dropping the tie break 3-7.

In singles play, at #4 singles, Ryan Linkie lost the first set 5-7, but rallied back to win set two by a 6-1 effprt. He lost the tie break 2-10. Dawson Freese at #6 singles was the lne Spartan winner. He won the first set 7-5, but lost the second by a 5-7 margin, and won the tiebreak 10-8 in the marathon match.

The Spartans prepare to host the Saint Ambrose University on March 26 which match beginning at 3:00 p.m. on Frank Farber Tennis Courts.
